17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 18All this is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19that God was reconciling the world to Himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation. 20we are therefore, Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5: 17-21 The Greatest Ministry of the entire world, the most important of all ministries is the Ministry of reconciliation! Reconcile man with God through Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Lord Jesus Christ has called us to be His ambassadors to the world! An Ambassador is → one who is sent. An Ambassador is one that represents the person who sent him. For example the President sends his ambassadors to different nations to represent him. In the same way we have been "called" to represent the Person himself of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Sovereign King of Kings and Lord of Lords, from the Kingdom of God. We have been sent to the world with a message: "THE MESSAGE OF RECONCILIATION" We could never have a greater Ministry! We have received the highest title: We are Ambassadors in Jesus Christ's Name! There is no higher position! As ambassadors: · We belong to Him who sent us. · We are Commissioners to be sent. · We have all the authority and the power of the One who sent us. · Remember, the message is not our own, we are sent with the message of the Sender (of Who sends us). We have received the greatest message for men: RECONCILED WITH GOD!
Beloved brothers, our Lord Jesus Christ has paid the price for the reconciliation to be accessible to all men. The Ministry of Reconciliation is to "Announce that God was in Christ, reconciling the world with Himself, not taking into account men's sins!" And to us, as we have already been reconciled, it has been commissioned this message. The message is so crucial that we must, even if necessary, "ask all men" in the name of Christ, and cry for them to be reconciled with God. Hear what verse 20 says: 20 Therefore, we are ambassadors on behalf of Christ as if God plead through us. We ask on behalf of Christ: reconcile you with God. God bless you! |
